Small and Simple Systems
The most basic phone system is one that wires the phones together and rings them all when a call comes in. If you want to add a doorphone (door intercom) station, you need a small controller box. Tropical Telecom calls this an Interphone system. Put one in, and you get intercom between the phones as a bonus. Interphones use existing house wiring, so they are easy to install. |
A Doorphone let’s you talk to a caller without opening the door. That’s great for security. And you can do it from any phone in the house. That’s great for convenience. If your door is equipped with an electric strike or opener, you control it by pushing a key on your phone’s dial pad. Tropical Telecom’s doorphones mount flush in a standard electrical box and have a variety of faceplate colors and styles to match your home’s décor. |
